Terms of sale

Terms of sale — DocPilot IA

Version dated 24 October 2026. These terms apply to orders placed after publication on this Shopify shop. Earlier orders retain the terms accepted when the contract was concluded.

1. Scope and seller

DocPilot IA offers software, licences, books and other digital content, together with services expressly described in an offer or quotation. The contact is M. Elmoussa — DocPilot IA, contact@docpilotia.com, +33 7 49 59 42 93. Available postal and identification details appear in the Legal notice and Contact details.

Customers may be consumers or act for business purposes. Statutory protections depend on their actual circumstances and are not excluded merely because a software product is described as professional. An order requires legal capacity and, for an organisation, authority to bind it.

2. Offer and compatibility

Before ordering, review the edition, language, functions, formats, requirements, licence rights and included services. Windows applications, HTML tools, spreadsheets and server editions have different requirements. An integration, included hosting or feature absent from the description is not implicitly promised.

The offer page, specific commitments agreed in writing and order confirmation define the purchased scope. Advertised bonuses form part of the stated deliverables and do not add software rights. No recurring service or subscription is created without specific disclosure and agreement.

3. Prices, taxes and payment

Prices are stated in euros unless another currency is expressly offered at checkout. Prices shown exclusive of tax are labelled accordingly; applicable taxes and the final amount payable are displayed before confirmation. No VAT-exemption status is presumed. Payment is due under the displayed arrangements; access may be withheld until payment is confirmed, without prejudice to statutory customer rights.

Payment providers process card data under their own terms and obligations. Never send your card number to DocPilot IA support. Price changes concern future purchases and do not change a concluded order.

4. Ordering and evidence

The customer reviews the cart, corrects errors, reads the terms and confirms an order involving an obligation to pay. Confirmation is sent by email. Keep that confirmation, the applicable terms and delivery links. Electronic records and emails may serve as evidence without depriving the customer of lawful means of challenge.

5. Delivery and activation

Digital content is supplied by download or email after payment confirmation under the Digital delivery policy. The kit may be available before the licence file is issued. For relevant software, the customer generates a request in the application and sends it to support; the signed licence is supplied after verification. Activation is not instantaneous. Unless a different deadline was disclosed before purchase, the licence is supplied no later than five business days after receipt of a complete request and confirmed payment.

Activation requirements and necessary information are those described in the offer and guide. Customers need not send their business databases to the seller for ordinary activation. Remedies for failure to supply or defects remain available.

6. Licence and intellectual property

The purchase grants usage rights for the acquired version and scope; it does not transfer intellectual property in the product. Depending on the offer, permission covers an individual, household, organisation, workstation or server. For the five relevant professional software products, the licence is assigned to the organisation, product and authorised workstation or server. Common FR/EN rights do not mean that every edition shares its data.

A permanent licence permits use of the purchased version without mandatory renewal of that licence. It does not promise lifetime support, compatibility with every future system, major upgrades or lifetime hosting. Reinstallation and machine changes follow the offer’s procedure; a backup copy does not permit simultaneous operation on multiple unlicensed machines. Statutory exceptions and third-party component rights remain unaffected.

7. Support, updates and services

Support periods, request allowances, response targets and assistance hours follow the purchased package and vary between offers. Response targets are not guarantees of resolution. Customisation, migration, integrations and development outside the purchased scope require a separate agreement. For server editions, infrastructure, domain, HTTPS, administration, storage and third-party services are the customer’s responsibility unless expressly included.

Expiry of commercial support or optional maintenance ends neither the permanent licence nor statutory guarantees. Six- or twelve-month commercial limits, or the absence of commercial updates in an offer, do not reduce updates and remedies legally owed to a consumer. Updates necessary to maintain conformity are provided for the period required by law, separately from optional feature upgrades.

Development, installation, training or maintenance services follow the scope, timetable, deliverables and acceptance criteria agreed in writing. Delivery of the software does not mean that all services in a package have been performed.

8. Withdrawal and no change-of-mind refunds

After digital supply begins, no change-of-mind refund is offered where the customer has validly lost the right of withdrawal. For a consumer, this requires prior express consent for performance to begin before the fourteen-day period ends, acknowledgement of loss of the right when performance begins, and confirmation on a durable medium under Articles L. 221-28(13) and L. 221-13 of the French Consumer Code.

A simple key request, key generation or receipt, payment or downloading does not independently establish this loss. Where the statutory conditions are met, not using or activating the key does not create a change-of-mind refund right. Where they are not met, statutory rights remain available.

The Returns and refund policy sets out procedures, the model form, services, business purchases and the end of usage rights following termination. Withdrawal from a service and from digital content is assessed separately according to their nature. No exclusion overrides a statutory guarantee or remedy for non-performance.

9. Statutory consumer guarantees

The party responsible for guarantees is the DocPilot IA seller, available through the published contact details. For one-off downloads and permanent licences, the following box sets out the one-off supply regime. Commercial support periods do not replace it.

Statutory conformity guarantee — one-off supply of digital content or a digital service

The consumer has two years from supply of the digital content or digital service to invoke the statutory conformity guarantee if a lack of conformity appears. During the first year from supply, the consumer need establish only the existence of the lack of conformity, not when it arose.

The statutory conformity guarantee includes the obligation to provide all updates necessary to maintain conformity of the digital content or digital service.

The statutory conformity guarantee entitles the consumer to have the digital content or digital service brought into conformity without undue delay after the request, free of charge and without significant inconvenience.

The consumer may obtain a price reduction while retaining the digital content or digital service, or terminate the contract for a full refund in exchange for relinquishing that content or service, if:

  1. the trader refuses to bring the digital content or digital service into conformity;
  2. bringing it into conformity is unduly delayed;
  3. it cannot be brought into conformity without imposing costs on the consumer;
  4. bringing it into conformity causes significant inconvenience to the consumer;
  5. the lack of conformity persists despite the trader’s unsuccessful attempt to remedy it.

The consumer is also entitled to a price reduction or termination where the lack of conformity is sufficiently serious to justify an immediate reduction or termination. In that case, the consumer need not first request that the digital content or digital service be brought into conformity.

Where the lack of conformity is minor, termination is available only if the contract does not provide for payment of a price.

Any period of unavailability while the digital content or digital service is brought into conformity suspends the remaining guarantee period until conforming content or service is supplied again.

These rights arise under Articles L. 224-25-1 to L. 224-25-31 of the French Consumer Code.

A trader who obstructs implementation of the statutory conformity guarantee in bad faith may incur a civil fine of up to EUR 300,000, which may be increased to 10% of average annual turnover under Article L. 242-18-1 of the French Consumer Code.

The consumer also benefits from the statutory guarantee against hidden defects under Articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code, for two years from discovery of the defect. This guarantee provides a price reduction if the digital content or digital service is retained, or a full refund in exchange for relinquishing it.

If a separate offer provides continuous digital supply for a defined period, conformity is due throughout the contractual supply period under applicable law; that period is disclosed before ordering. Limited corrections or support do not, by themselves, turn an offer into continuous supply.

10. Liability and backups

Customers check outputs and documents, protect their data and make the backups described in the guide. Tools do not replace necessary decisions, regulatory checks or specialist advice. These precautions do not release DocPilot IA from its own conformity, supply or liability obligations. Loss and liability are assessed under applicable law; no blanket exclusion overrides mandatory rights.

11. Data and privacy

Order, support and licence data are processed under the Privacy policy. Consent to immediate supply or acknowledgement of loss of withdrawal rights is distinct from marketing consent. Purchasing does not require acceptance of optional cookies or unauthorised marketing.

12. Complaints, mediation and applicable law

Send a written complaint to contact@docpilotia.com with the order reference and remedy requested. An amicable process does not, by itself, suspend or restrict mandatory remedies. Consumers are entitled to free consumer mediation under statutory conditions; identification of the applicable mediation scheme remains to be completed by the seller, without removing this right.

French law applies subject to mandatory protections under the law applicable to the consumer, including those of their habitual residence where the statutory conditions are met. Jurisdiction follows the applicable legal rules; no exclusive court is imposed on consumers.

13. Consistency and versions

Mandatory law prevails over all clauses. Specific terms expressly agreed and the precise offer description supplement these terms without reducing mandatory rights. Delivery, refund and privacy policies apply in their respective fields; the Terms of service cannot contradict purchase commitments. The French and English versions have the same substantive content. Later amendments apply prospectively unless the law or a valid customer agreement provides otherwise.

Payhip orders retain their original references and the terms presented on that channel when purchased. No new purchase is needed to request help.
